Mediterranean Masks Museum
The Mediterranean Masks Museum of Mamoiada explores the ancient traditions of the Barbagia Carnival (Mamoiada – Ottana – Orotelli) including the Italian regions of Friuli, Alto Adige, Basilicata, Calabria, and the Mediterranean basin (Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine, Belgium, Bulgaria, Portugal). The exhibition is rich in dioramas, multimedia experiences, video projections, costumes, masks, and documents a cultural heritage that is still alive today.
Archaeology and Territory Museum of Mamoiada – MATer
The Archaeology and Territory Museum of Mamoiada is dedicated to the rich archaeological heritage of Mamoiada. The exhibition documents the presence of menhirs, necropolises, nuraghes, villages, through projections, multimedia setups, and stories from elderly men and women who testify to and pass down our intangible heritage.
Museum of Culture and Work
The Museum is dedicated to the traditions and customs of Mamoiada. The exhibition tells and documents the social and productive organization of a society of agro-pastoral origin through costumes, jewelry, tools, fabrics, and direct testimonies from men and women who reveal the secrets of techniques and productions that are still preserved today.
